2019 Mitsubishi Outlander ES AWC
The Outlander has a diversified set of powertrains that pair with several trims and options. Those who want the top features and the ability to tow up to 3500 pounds should consider the V-6–powered Outlander GT, but its $33,240 starting price competes with many superior rivals. Otherwise, the PHEV offers a class-exclusive powertrain for as low as $35,590 (before any federal EV tax credit). Still, we’re not sure the plug-in’s juice (pun intended) is worth the squeeze. Instead, we’d play to the Outlander’s strength of being an affordable three-row crossover with relevant options. This means the four-cylinder SE with Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) all-wheel drive, starting at $27,940. Its standout standard features are:

• 7.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
• Dual-zone automatic climate control
• Passive entry

This model may not have the latest active-safety options, but their absence maintains a competitive price that encourages buyers to think twice before choosing a more recognizable brand.

At the heart of the 2019 Outlander ES are impressive standard features that include: a 7” touchscreen audio system with rearview camera, Bluetooth® capability, front dual-zone climate control with AC vents for the rear seats, 3rd Row Seating, available All-Wheel Control and more.

The Outlander SE builds on the ES with even more features, such as a Smartphone Link Display Audio System with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a rear USB port connection, 8-way power adjustable front seats, heated front seats, FAST Key with push button start and available Super All-Wheel Control.

The 2019 Outlander SEL takes it all to the next level. Safety is boosted with the standard Blind Spot Warning, Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross Traffic Alert for added protection. Along with leather-appointed seating surfaces and a Power Tailgate, this Outlander has strength in safety and style.

At the top of its class, the 2019 Outlander GT goes all out. Performance is at its prime with a 224hp V6 engine and 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. The Multi-View Camera System puts everything in sight while the LED headlights show the way, making it an Outlander powerhouse.
