Hurricane Dorian made landfall in the Bahamas on September 1st, 2019, as a Category 5 storm. The Abaco Islands and Grand Bahama were most affected, with the International Red Cross estimating 45% of homes have been destroyed. At least 20 people have been killed with many more missing, injured and displaced.
